BIOGRAPHY - LORI-ANN SHWARZ

LORI-ANN has been singing and performing since the age of 4 and with her strong gospel background, she began singing at many church functions, children’s choirs, Christmas concerts and school pageants. In the summertime she was asked to sing at rodeos, fairs, baseball games, and banquets, and it wasn’t long before people began to notice the young girl with the sensational talent, passion in her voice, and the sparkle in her eye. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to Vancouver, BC, and at that time began attending a private school. Lori-Ann’s love for singing and performing was soon recognized by the school principal, teachers and staff and she was asked to represent her school in the International US and Canadian state final singing competitions held in Portland, Oregon. At these competitions, as Lori-Ann belted out her song in her strong powerful voice, she sang from her soul the lyrics, capturing the judges’ hearts, winning the competition, 4 consecutive years in a row. She was asked to do a command performance and received a standing ovation. At 13 years of age, Lori Ann had the opportunity to work closely with television production crews, taping a weekly television program which aired internationally across Canada, US, including Hawaii. Lori-Ann was requested as a special guest singer many times over the next five years. Christmas TV specials, dramas, solo, and duet singing, always found Lori-Ann delighting and pleasing the TV audience, with more requests for her singing. Since these younger years, Lori-Ann has been a woman on the move. She has spent the last several years traveling, and lived in Honolulu, for a year where many of her songs were written. Schooled in the vocal stylings of Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Toni and Crystal Lewis, Lori-Ann has made her mark, and is getting the attention of some of the countries most powerful radio programming executives. Ray Anthony Price, programmer of a Memphis radio station, put it this way, “ the vocals are awesome, there is power, control, range, and a hint of innocence and vulnerability in her voice”. Another radio programmer, Jerry Boogie Mason, said of Lori-Ann “an incredible talent, who is destined for greatness”. Mark Richards, WLZW Lite 98.7 New York, said of Lori-Ann, “beautiful woman, beautiful voice, she has what it takes.” This pretty much says it all… Her pipes, her passion, her drive, and her strong faith have kept her dream alive.
